It was refreshing to see a romance that wasn't built on infatuation.  The leading man and woman did share a bed out of practicality.  Earlier in the film, the man barged in on the woman while she was changing her clothes. He left the mainstream music industry because he kept having a pull to compromise his moral standards a little bit at a time more and more each show, each day and so on.

Hinckley.  It was read by George Grizzard.  It was an uplifting book to hear.  It ran for about 6 hours on 3 separate tapes.
