Leap Year

I saw "Leap Year" one week ago. It was refreshing to see a romance that wasn't built on infatuation. The leading man and woman did share a bed out of practicality. Earlier in the film, the man barged in on the woman while she was changing her clothes. The context was non-sexual in both scenes, though I could have done without seeing the woman only dressed in her foundation clothing hiding behind the clothing she was changing into. There was a shot of the woman's silhouette against a shower curtain, another part I could have done without it. If you want to see a more thorough review, look for it coming up on my other blog at ldsreviews4movies.wordpress.com .

The movie is rated PG, which I interpret as Pretty Good in this case. I even teared up at the end of the movie. It was moving for me to see what I call a real love story come to fruition, no formal showy proposal, just a "Will you marry me?" on a precipice adjacent to the remaining ruins of a once glorious castle.

P.S. The movie is very funny, too.
